The translucency of the keyboard represents how words written in the media have no tone or voice leading to a foggy understanding. It is nearly impossible to completely interpret what a person is trying to say unless it is a face to face interaction. Different words can be emphasized incorrectly and messages can be wrongly read, for the lack of a human voice prevents an equally reciprocated conversation to be had. The importance of being more involved in one's life has great impact on their social life for it strengthens relationships by the presence of emotion and tone. Therefore, the meaningless words one types are just as meaningless as having a keyboard with no keys: the message can't be fully understood.
